Dream Tide Gold Word Ideas Wash Up Again

Yesterday I posted a Scorpions Death Metal cover idea on Facebook (Loving U Sunday MoUrning instead of Loving You Sunday Morning), and then behind the wall of sleep (Black Sabbath song recently featured here) I realised Death and Metal are both five-letters words with the letters E-A-T within them: the same three letters featuring in my TEA-EAT-ATE letters box mixing those letters up: my latest attempt at proving my genius!

Death is also a shenel word: an idea I had two summers ago, of words within words, with the shenel name I gave them compounding shell and kernel as in nuts; as it has eat within d-eat-h.

Another example was sa-tie-ty, as shown in this Facebook comment I made, with satiety having two letters either side of tie.

Dream Time Consciousness-Unconsciousness Beach Analogy

I’ve been studying my own consciousness-unconsciousness since starting my writing career in 2005, as shown in this ‘self-portrait’ of how I thought my brain worked:

I was inspired by the counter-culture I’d been in since the 1980s then, and the philosophers and scientists I’d learnt about in university between 1995-2005.

I remember reading about the hypnagogic state between waking and sleeping in a writing magazine sometime after 2005; thinking I really related to that.

This morning, waking up with the letters EAT again in my mind, I thought the conscious and unconscious have a relationship like beach and sea, with sleep unconscious overlapping like the sea tide, sometimes leaving debris on the beach consciousness when it has gone.

When good ideas are left like that it feels like a gift: like finding something beautiful or valuable washed up on the shore. Most of my work has come from such times, or inspired by other media, but I have also undertaken some gruelling mental voyages; like Odysseus, Jason (Argonauts) and Sinbad!; especially to complete the epic XaW Files: Beyond Humanity travel quest!

TEA-EAT-ATExplained, Clarity Claimed

My posts here are usually ‘first drafts’, written on the spur of the moment, like spontaneous prose as promoted by Jack Kerouac from the 1940s and later; or inspired by previous thoughts offline. If I was writing articles or academic papers I’d edit them.

So for more clarity I’ve returned to a couple of recent posts. I do that for three reasons:

  1.  It interests me and I want to examine it further.
  2.  It could finally prove my genius!
  3.  It shows I can still do academic quality research and writing.

Perfection Examined and Explained

Recently, I called this anagram box a perfect 3×3:

TEA
EAT
ATE

It is pefect in that the three words work horizontally and vertically, 3×3 two ways. So the 3×3 refers to the number of words and letters, rather than it working three ways.
There is also of course an extra EAT working backwards from position 9 to 1*, leading back to the start where it starts an EAT-TEA (acronymically and homophonically ET as in extra-terrestrial) horizontally (1 to 3*) and vertically (1 to 7*).

*Numbers 1-9 referred to above work:

123
456
789

So maybe 3x3x2+1 would be a more complete and accurate equation. 3×3 words and letters x 2 ways working (vertically and horizontally) and 1 working backwards diagonally.

Room for Improvement?

However, complete/contrary perfectionists may argue that to be perfect it should also work backwards and diagonally. While it couldn’t spell the same TEA-EAT-ATE words working backwards, it could conceivably spell different real words.

3 x 3 Anagram Philosophy: Further Research

After the TEA-EAT-ATE anagram box:

TEA
EAT
ATE

I thought the related POT (teapot) might work as well, with OPT and TOP other words from those letters, but doesn’t work three-ways; only working two-ways from any combination:

Starting with TOP and OPT leaves PTO at the end; it is an acronym for Please Turn Over, but not a word:

TOP
OPT
PTO

Starting with OPT and POT leaves TTO:

OPT
POT
TTO

Starting with POT and OPT also leaves TTO

POT
OPT
TTO

I guess a word with two vowels might be needed. Do you know any others that work?

Wordplay for New Year’s Day

TEA
3A3
ATE

Leaving just one word each of tea-eat-ate creates a typical capital i shape, as in:

That letter (i) was of course the prime theme in my other letter wordplay (letterology!) post this week.

Even More Wordplay

Another EAT is created going backwards diagonally from square 9 to 1.

All three words can be fitted into five letters from nine in a cascading letters wave, for example, TEATE:
TEA, to start, then adding the other T for T(EAT), and then the other E for TE(ATE).
This works the other ways: EATEA (ATE and TEA added to EAT) and ATEAT (TEA and EAT added to ATE).

Happy Wordplay New Year!!!

TEA-EAT-ATE: Perfect 3×3 Anagram Box

TEA
EAT
ATE

Did you know three-letter anagrams like TEA-EAT-ATE work forward and down when close together like the above?
Is this commonly known? I guess so.

My thinking  followed this ‘box’ I posted in a  Facebook post this week:

TEA
4A2
3T3

eat tea for two
two Ts in: EAT TEA

TEA AND EAT in that box also create a letters T of course!

The numbers refer to two words of three letters, with two of each letters and the others adding up to four. The T shape of the letters could also be added to the two teas spelt out to make three.

I didn’t realise it until after writing it that EAT TEA is a longer way of saying E.T., as in extra-terrestrial!!

It also fits into my philosoT (edited down from philosophT) categories previously created here, referring to the drink tea rather than the food tea.

If it was provided by my muse for mistYmuse 2019/20 (#mYm2019) I thank my muse.

The box shape reminded me of 1987 (year I started travelling! Horror movies like that interweaved with the rock/metal music I liked) classic horror fiction Hellraiser’s box, but that is much more intricate and multi-dimensional!

Dear ol’ Pinhead, one of my favourite characters of that genre then.
Hellraiser fandom:— The first meeting between protagonist and antagonist:
Kirsty Cotton: “Who are you?”
Pinhead: “Explorers in the further regions of experience. Demons to some, angels to others.”

Yorkshire Tea Time PhilosophT Bjork Utopia Parallel Universe Poetry

Is Bjork a Utopian Yorkshire Tea fan? Before discussing the similarities of the Utopia and Brewtopia videos, with a time difference twist, first here’s a little Bjork name fun Folding Mirror poem, which will hopefully please and promote Bjork:

Bjork Pronounced, Poetically Bounced

Be York, as in city
Be Orc, mixed with pixie

but please don’t proceed, tempted by incendiary need

the incorrect, Be dork
or scandalous, Be jerk

greenYgreyologists in the coffilosophy age wondered at the coincidence of how Bjork started writing her Utopia album drawing inspiration from walking in the Icelandic countryside just as the greenYgrey trilogy was ending there in the epic classic XaW Files: Beyond Humanity… and they shared a PinkyOrangePurple (POP) theme:

There was no accusation of Bjork being inspired by the book, but it would be a compliment if she was… or has even heard of it. More recent research has shown that Bjork also had a greenYgrey phase too, as seen in the videos for NotGet and Solstice.

Tea Time Discovery

The Kenco cofficionado does have more questions to answer, especially as he appeared a few months after I contacted them about my coffilosophy/er… and is a bit of a Russell Brand.

It’s okay for the upper classes with their ‘special skills’ to go round looking at people and reading their minds while staring at them! If that was me I’d be called a weirdo witch!

Anyway, the passing of the age from coffilosophy to philosophT; in name if not drink! I do try and drink tea in the afternoon, rather than another coffee, but do still have my two mugs of strong coffee in the morning; at the moment I have one Kenco and one Morrison’s Gold; has already borne tea gold.

I returned to this Yorkshire Tea advert I’d thought at the time was very greenYgreyish. Returning to it now and seeing it was called Brewtopia I thought it may be a parody of Bjork’s Utopia, but then when I looked at the date it was the summer of 2015, so preceded Bjork’s album by some time, as she only started writing it at the end of that year.

It was in the heart of the greenYgrey years, but its POP twilight colours in the sky at the end did precede the greenYgrey POP age being published in XaW Files, although I might have blogged about it beforehand. I doubt if they were influenced by me, and we were both inspired by that scenery.

Death of Coffilosophy, Long Live Philosoph-tea/T

Buggles sang that Video Killed the Radio Star,
well, it looks like Kenco killed the coffilosopher,
I didn’t cry into my coffee when I saw their advert,
although seeing a Russell Brand lookalike hurt,
Thinking up a new age didn’t take me long round the bend,
coffilosophy was the beginning, philosophtea is the end.

Couple of quick poems for you inspired by Kenco’s cofficionado advert, after I’d suggested my coffilosophy five months earlier. I wrote the Folding Mirror poem below first, and then when I started writing an introduction Star and coffilosopher quickly rhymed, so I turned it into the poem above. They both have the same topic, and I think the two forms complement each other.

Coffee Has-Beans, Tea-Leaf Cleans

Kenco said : they were doing good
asked us to help, I said I would
already given them money
volunteered my coffilosophy

received no answer, five months later

Title wordplays has-beens.
Philosophtea can be shortened to philosophT.
