sundance dreams veggie spirituality streams

On diet and spirituality (from Facebook): I think it’s more about being true to yourself. If you want to follow a path of compassion then vegetarianism etc is better, but it’s more Buddhism than Norse/Pagan. I think there’s lots of similarities between them; most obviously their difference to the belief in monotheism (one invisible god).

Like with body weight promoting sluggishness, I think a lighter diet may help your spirituality, and people often feel more spiritual while fasting or exercising/undertaking_rituals.

Native Americans were of course meat eaters, but also undertook severe rituals that stripped them of food and energy, such as dancing for days under the sun (and the nights in-between) with skewers inserted through their chests in the Sundance.

For those who therefore think I’ve got cowboyphobia from the above I also liked the Sundance Kid (with Butch Cassidy), and mixed and matched on my Americas trip from north to south, including a lengthy spell in Bolivia.

*I never did the ‘sundance’ and don’t recommend it to any impressionable people. I probably had it in mind with the above photos, along with the Inca traditions from where I was in the Andes.

My ‘paganism’ hasn’t diminished with time, and I don’t think it ever will!

Tangerine Dream: Sunny Thoughts

This is probably only relevant to single people, without commitments; although it’s about mental escape rather than physical. It is also not about Blackpool F.C. or what might have been for Princess Kate’s Blackpool visit.

Diets and nights out
are just holiday escapes
quickly returning to norm
negative people and society
for real mental health
you have to leave altogether
in mind and spirit
if not in body
locking yourself away
with the real you
is better than being
someone demanded by others
just to feel half normal
in their image and
little bubble world.

Since I moved my mind to the sun I feel much better.
That’s not to say I don’t still care about Earth.
Just that it’s not as important.
Maybe you’re not ready to make that journey.
If you’re still full of joy and ambitions maybe you shouldn’t.
But maybe it’ll help in negative times even for everyone.

I’m not claiming this is new or original, it’s just my experiences written down, from a path forged by humanity over thousands of years… with my mind philosophy most recently updated by watching a documentary about shaolin monks… I’ll probably never reach their ‘enlightenment’ and definitely won’t achieve their physical agility!

In response to the expected Double Negative response, I don’t ‘fancy them’ and I’m not making out ‘I’m hard’!!

The Original Blog Post

I started listening to Tangerine Dream: Zeit before reading an article about sun storms. Then I wrote and I wrote… well not that much, just this while posting it on Facebook:

Sun is the One: I don’t claim any influence on it; expect any favours.
I do think that if it is sentient, it will appreciate me for that.
Liking it for what it is, rather than for what it can give me, above others.
I think it would understand those with real problems trying to contact it.
It cannot be expected to hear everybody though, while running the solar system.
As this article says, we should be grateful every day for its good management;
sending just enough heat our way overall.
It does its job, but is humanity as a whole, doing theirs;
if they are Earth’s caretakers, rather than executioners!

BBC Never Blames Itself and Immigration for State of UK

They’ve Gotta Have Us‘ was the name of a BBC series about black people and Hollywood, but could also be a title of a series about British immigration, with the subtitle ‘And we’re going to consume as much as possible and not control our birth rate.’

Defenceless

For some it could also be used for their attitude to ‘relationships’, as I’ve experienced at work; where ‘Multicultural anti-racism’ are used to pressure and harass. Workforces are full of the same people involved in the grooming, with the same technological and talking skills used for selling.

Those are the skills needed for twenty-first century world, and that’s probably one of the reasons the New Labour government turned a blind eye for twenty years.

There’s a lot of ‘Trojan horse’ tactics too, getting ‘white British’ workers to be politically incorrect/racist etc and then complaining, so they can get more non-British whites into work.

Tommy Robinson did a much better job at exposing all this with a video that got him banned from Facebook, but is still on YouTube, and it’s all stuff I’ve seen and experienced in the last twenty years, trying to use my PhD to be a good role model for white working-class people, and defending women and children in general.

Not only were working-class children exposed to cultures where child marriage are the norm, but New Labour’s focus on multiculturalism tore down their instinctual defence, like pitting a prey animal against a predator after taking the prey animal’s teeth and nails out too.

Overpopulated

I heard an ‘African heritage’ woman on a BBC discussion programme saying they weren’t going to control their birth rate after President Macron suggested it a couple of years ago, but then they expect Europe to act as a release valve for their overpopulation.

The ‘green left’ have been supporting it, despite it obviously being negative for the environment. I think they’ve been conned into supporting ‘capitalist consumerism and industrialisation’ by ‘multiculturalism’.

Which kind of puts me at odds with both sides of the political divide for different reasons. The ‘working-class’ right-wing and liberal ‘left-wing’ are ‘at war’ over ‘immigration’; but for apparently conflicting reasons, they’re both on the same side when it comes to overpopulation and construction

Establishment Motives?

Why are the establishment doing this to the native people of the country? I heard a BBC newsreader say in a discussion this week that humanity does better when diversifying; so is it a defence against ‘in-breeding’? If it is, why don’t they just admit it, and make it clear, instead of using brainwashing and persecution tactics; and even grooming and rape?

Why did they send white children around the Commonwealth while bringing the ‘Windrush’ people over in the 1950s? Was it a reaction to World War Two?

After the 1980s mixture of strikes and royal scandals the Establishment seemed to be rocked, so what’s been done to ‘working-class’ communities could be a reaction to that: especially either side of the Pennines. Is it to divide and keep conquered?

In a more conspiracy/controversial way, as espoused by people like David Icke, could it be ‘black magick man penis worship’ as seen in the old film The Devil Rides Out, and the House of Blackheads I saw in Riga.

Culture and Sport

When football fans are joining in, as with Manchester United and Lukaku, it shows how quickly brainwashing can work! Or it the Red Devils connection?

I think they were probably trying to show their support, but Lukaku didn’t like it, considering it ‘racist’; as liberal filmmakers like James Cameron have ‘got it wrong’ with Avatar.

I recently watched the new Magnificent Seven, having liked the subtle civil rights message of the old, as in many westerns of the era, which was of course not liked by anti-white racists, who criticised them for whitewashing.

I considered the new Magnificent Seven anti-white and paganophobic, with the church central to the black hero bringing the white baddie to his knees; finished off by a white woman! I just looked it up to see if there was any anti-white racism criticism, and just found an article saying it was still too white racist, as the whites weren’t shown as being racist enough!

I thought the same about Gallowwalkers, another revisionist western with a black hero versus white people and the sun/light as the baddies!

I.S. Were My Enemy and War

I was trying to support multi-ethnicity while criticising the Multicultural Fascism policy of the ‘Establishment’. Unfortunately, the loss of a ‘common enemy’; as I think I’ve been used during that time too!; seems to be creating a power vacuum that people who used to get along okay are not any more.

But maybe it’s just because the ‘Establishment’ has used me as bait, sending me to the ‘multicultural’ area to work; with an IRA supporter and black power supporter called Mohammed!; etc and attaching people to me who are likely to conflict with me. Maybe it is all a coincidence!?

Meanwhile, the Pied Piper of grooming, Russell Brand, who apparently wanted an anti-capitalist revolution; rather than my hegemonic evolution; is back on prime-time TV, looking like a right luvvie!

My latest poetry book and second of greenYgrey fantasy fiction parody comedy Australia travel from when I was trying to create a better Britain  are free on Smashwords this week as an ebook download.

I was and am a writer first. I have lots of different causes, which unfortunately conflict, but revolve around making the world the best possible for humanity and animals, and the nature we live in:

Saturday Saturn Rings Wooden Shjips Mix Space Journey

For ears I sailed on wooden ships while my eyes watched a dying spacecraft feel rain falling from Saturn’s rings, sending me off course, of course, returning my memory to Blade Runner (+2049):

Deeper into my mind I remembered an Iron Buddha album cover that reminded me of the greenYgrey’s third of a fantasy fiction travel quest to a new POP (PinkyOrangePurple twilight times) art theme, searching for our Andy Warhol, Andy Wolfhol, whose favourite catchphrase was wolf not war:

Before wondering if POP is all in my mind, a product of all them witches!:

The thought of so much great relatively unknown underground music on YouTube comforted what is left of the writer in me:

Wordplay Mirror Poem to the Letter

My latest Folding Mirror poem started off with wordplay to the letter between flea and free, with the words sharing f and e, but differing in the second and fourth letters. It’s a poetry technique I used a lot in XaW Files: Beyond Humanity over two long years, forensically stripping my poetry down to the letter; or even the three constituent parts of the letter in the case of the Y of the protagonist greenYgrey, after it was parted from green and grey.

Folding Mirror Poetry Technique

I wrote the first half in free form, as I did during XaW Files, which is the main reason I stopped creating Folding Mirrors for a couple of years, but then had to create a second half to mirror it, choosing to mirror the 1-3 matching, 2-4 different split of flea and free with the 2-4 matching, 1-3 different split of muse and nure; a made-up word that I chose for comedy and theme relevance. I could have used pure, but thought nure was more apt.

The longer the Folding Mirror poem the harder it is to reflect each side, but I think I’ve done it quite accurately, with the different letters of the key words providing the formatting framework. Initial letters of other words have also been mirrored according to the key words on each side.

My Poem Rationale

For those new to poetry I’m just playing a character, as poets have done forever. My choosing of flea and manure shows me in a good light as far as I’m concerned, in line with Buddhism and Nietzsche. It’s what I’ve been doing throughout my writing career, although my egotistical narcissistic critics think I’m just trying to be like and/or compete with them!

While I’d like to become as rich and famous as possible, and help as many good causes I can, while writing artistic poetry and prose it is all about the creative act, and trying to achieve as much excellence as possible. I’ve always aimed to write as well as I can, even if some of it along the way has been crass and slapstick.

My comedy and serious writing are two sides of the same coin, one I can flip over to suit the occasion at almost any time, and that’s why my greenYgrey and Folding Mirror books are a mixture of the two.

Poem for Underdog Angels and Enlightened Super(wo)men

This poem covers the double negativity I mentioned in yesterday’s blog. It covers some of the themes I’ve thought of over the last 15-20 years in Blighty. There have been a lot of nice people and experiences in that time, and this just covers the not nice ones, so if the nice ones wonder why I don’t want to spend as much time as I’d like with them, well, it’s partly down to the Double Negatives, and partly down to me becoming older and wiser.

My Courageous Willpower and Mental Strength

I’ve been rebelling against my pseudo-alphas in that time; in uni, work and friend groups from youth and adulthood; who I know often have a captive audience of minions and others, so I knew I was asking for trouble doing so, but thought I was brave and strong enough to do so.

I don’t like to give the DNs any benefit, so I’ll just add that they’ve saved me a lot of money, made my writing better, helped me drink less and fast-tracked me to Nietzschean Superman and Buddhist Enlightenment!

It mirrors reflectively, so the outer lines are 4, 3, 2 – 2, 3, 4.

Modern Society, Double Negativity

seen twice my space, must be me, always somewhere
out drinking with us, must love me
why is he always around here
wants a job because loves money
attends gym because I’m there
homosexual, Jew, feminist, witch

who does he think he is, why does he always jinx us

homophobic, racist, sexist, alien
free exercises to save cash
doesn’t work because he’s too lazy
goes abroad to spend his money
looks like loner, always on his own
go nowhere, hurts too much, too weak and scared

Doctor of Philosophy Speciality Poetry for Free

I don’t know which social-political-sporting system has won most battles throughout history, but when thinking about it recently, I thought that the authoritarian should win more than it does, with more of a total war attitude, and wondered why it didn’t.

Media War Propaganda My Doctoral Thesis

I don’t know if it’s a common theme or knowledge, and if I’ve read it somewhere long ago, perhaps in my studies, where it was my specialist subject. It emerged recently into my head as an original idea, inspired by thinking about the quick collapse of I.S. in Syria.

I thought that while a totalitarian attitude with promising propaganda can work to build a quick big following initially, if the promising propaganda is shown to be false, then it will also result in a quick big collapse.

The democratic side doesn’t have the sudden burst of energy from ‘big lie’ propaganda, but can sustain itself better through defeats, as they are not as crushing to its whole rationale. To use a food analogy, its like a sudden sugar rush v complex carbohydrates.

‘Big lie’ propaganda is like a ‘set in stone’ monolith that cannot be repaired when cracks start to show, whereas democracy is more like a brick wall that can be renovated, with the ‘new bricks’ derived from debate and policy-strategy changes.

Having chosen creative writing after my PhD I have written a Folding Mirror poem to demonstrate how I see the two sides of the above discussion. It also has relevance to ordinary society and culture, where these kinds of battles also go on; and even more now in the social media age; and to individual personalities, with regard to self-development and sociability.

Punk Inspiration, Angelic Exaltation

A combination of having time and exercising earlier inspired me to put some recent memories and thoughts into rhyming lines, and watching a Dead Boys concert from CBGB’s in 1977 (as they’re playing the Brudenell Club in Leeds in a couple of days – would like to go but not planning to, unless this poem leads to more sales of my punky books!) inspired me to turn them all into my first new Folding Mirror poem for a few years, ending with a last two lines last words anagram :

Before Burns, Brudenell Boys

I’m always happy
now I’m dead

pretty early bird

I’d barely slept, dreamt beauty within

read Metro casually

If you like the above there’s lots more on the site, and collections of my punky poetry available on Amazon, Smashwords etc. If I have any new sales I’ll go to the Dead Boys!

Thought of GreenYgrey Y Represented by Dalai Lama

Hi, it’s Greenygrey. Today we’ve got the second part of our human representation for the GreenYgrey Y’s 3-D tree of growth, thought and knowledge: the lexical equivalent of splitting the atom.

How to See Yourself As You Really Are
How to See Yourself As You Really Are (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Yes, that’s right, after Debbie Harry was declared the D of growth, it is now time for thought.

And we have decided that the Dalai Lama should represent thought.

Although we are agnostic about religion, so keep an open mind about reincarnation, and don’t really believe the Dalai-Lama is goddish, he does represent a religion known for its thought, peacefulness and consideration for all life.

Thinking about Thought

Green Thought Bubbles
Green Thought Bubbles (Photo credit: iNkMan_)

While thinking deeply isn’t for everybody, and we think there can be a wisdom to avoiding thinking, and just living to be happy in the moment, we also think that some thinking time can be of value sometimes.

While some people might have a natural propensity to think, as some people have an innate talent for arts or sports, we think that practise is  likely to make perfect… or more perfect than before anyway.

Buddhist Meditation and Yoga

So, we think that people who think a lot through meditation, yoga or just taking time out from the constant communications of modern life, are more likely to develop their thinking.

Although the Dalai Lama may not be the best thinker in Buddhism, and Buddhism might not really produce the best thinkers, we have decided to choose the Dalai Lama, as he is the big cheese of Buddhism, and his name starts with a D.

We estimate that we will be able to conclude the splitting of the greenYgrey Y tomorrow, if we can acquire the knowledge…

Adrift in Unnavigable Oceans Poem

Marc Latham’s latest Folding Mirror poem took him on a journey from ant theory buddhist insignificance musings through to the very alien world of salt science.

And there was a carrotic reward at the end of the journey for the poetic ass, as the salt alchemy symbol looks like a very relevant folding line.

So the folding middle line is a symbol in this poem, which is a first for the Folding Mirror poetic form.

Hearing the concept behind Black Sabbath’s Planet Caravan song on the BBC’s Classic Albums: Paranoid documentary probably set my trail of thought going, and I was helped through the scientific maze by ol’ Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, and his song Lithium.
