Royal Tour in Australia 2014 reaches Ayer’s Rock

After the royal couple, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, last week re-enacted Green and Grey’s Oz meeting in New Zealand and Princess Catherine led the yellow fashion spring colour craze after the greenYgrey rebranding, they have landed in Ayer’s Rock / Uluru this week.

Uluru / Ayer’s Rock was of course the scene of the macropod Great Gig in the Sky in Grey’s epic travel fantasy Werewolf of Oz: Fantasy Travel by Google Maps.

William and Kate Ayer’s Rock / Uluru Photos

Hi, it’s Wolf Whitzer, intrepid news correspondent at GGN inspired by CNN legend Wolf Blitzer. After meeting a koala in Sydney about the same time as our koala mirror poem reflection was due for posting on this very blog, the Mirror reported today that the royal couple reached Uluru / Ayer’s Rock this week.

It was of course the setting for the first ever fact or fiction gig in the sky, as far as we know, inspired by the Pink Floyd song The Great Gig in the Sky.

And now, in a Greenygrey News exclusive, we can reveal that the royal couple fitted in some great greenygreying at a rock famed for its redness.

Moreover, Kate and William greenygreyed without even wearing green themselves. They ventured out into the red rock desert, also famed for its aridity, and still found some greenery to go with their grey clothing.

This pose and photo really gets the new greenYgrey rebranding:

Sensational greenygreying by the royals, and it probably even upstages the Great Gig in the Sky Grey enjoyed… but it’s still worth buying the Werewolf of Oz as an Oz royal visit memento:

William and Kate Bring Back Oz Memories

This morning Stella reported that the Duchess of Cambridge was leading the yellow spring fashion charge in line with the new greenYgrey rebranding. However, I think I can trump her story with this image I brought back from New Zealand, where William and Kate visited before flying to Oz.

Kate and William Royal Tour

After William, Kate, George and Lupo gave the Greenygrey a royal send-off as it left Blighty to fly to Russia on a daring mission to find our Andy Wolfhol, it looks as if the royal couple got into the flying Greenygrey mood while in New Zealand.

Hi, it’s Paco Wolfsang, apprentice fashionista at the Greenygrey; inspired by Paco Rabanne.

Yes, it was like the scene where Green and Grey separated again in Oz, after the epic battle with Pirate Lacoste in Bass Strait, told in a classic Werewolf of Oz blog episode:

‘At the end of the meal we, Green and I, unfortunately had to announce that we would be parting again. The others were disappointed, but the Greenygrey world needed Green, and I thought I should conclude this quest on my own.
Green shapeshifted into an albatross for the long journey back to the Greenygrey world. We climbed to the top of the mast to wave it off, singing Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll meet again.’
As Green albatross reached the horizon it looked back, did a roll, and tipped its wings; before disappearing from view into the azure.’

Royal Baby Image as Kate and William Emerge

Hi, it’s Wolf Whitzer, intrepid newshound at the Greenygrey. We’re proud to announce that we’ve scooped an image of the new royal baby boy, born to Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge yesterday.

Royal Baby Emerges from Hospital

William said they were still deciding on a name, so there is still hope for King Greenygrey Aethelwulf Thunderylightning I. It was good to see Kate and baby looking well, and William looking relieved.

Here’s the image taken from Channel 4 news in the U.K. not ten minutes ago:

Kate Middleton Topless Photos Scandal Revealed

Hi, it’s Wolf Whistzer, intrepid newshound at the Greenygrey. The media hoo-ha ‘scandal’ about the Kate Middleton topless photos is a very greenygrey issue isn’t it. Well, it is for us. While we’d prefer a historic republic like France has, perhaps from the time of Cromwell, we think that the British royal family is now quite decent in most ways, and is probably preferable to most of the presidents we might have had in the last quarter of a century. The modern living of William, Kate and Harry only make us warm to the royals, and think the modern British royal family is not too bad at all.

Kate Middleton is a Modern Woman

While the media intrusion is unfortunate for Kate Middleton, we think it shows that her and William are quite normal modern people, and the sympathy that will follow the ‘scandal’ will probably benefit her image in the future.

The diplomatic way the British and French people have responded to the story also shows the way that matters such as this should be handled in the modern era.
