Euro 2012 ends in Glorious Defeat for Greenygrey

Hi, it’s Martin ‘Werewolfie’ Adams. As you probably remember, our very own Cinderella Werewolf got all excited about going to the Euro 2012 Final yesterday, but in the end it turned into a disappointment, with Greenygrey hardly visible on Italian coach, Prandelli. This probably caused Italy to lose 4-0 to Spain.

Prandelli Raises Greenygrey Hopes

After we thought the Greenygrey’s hopes of going to the Euro 2012 final had ended with the German goalie kit, the BBC kindly showed us there was still hope, with this collage of Prandelli and German coach, Loew:

Prandelli won this greenygrey contest; probably because he managed to combine green and grey: grey majority and green on the Italian flag.

Greenygrey at the Euro 2012 Final

Prandelli did take Greenygrey to the final (unfortunately!) but it was a much more subdued Greenygrey than in the above photo.

Prandelli chose to wear a blazer, which featured the above Italian flag; and a grey striped shirt.

The above photo might have captured the moment when Prandelli realised his mistake.

I feel like I need a rest now, but apparently the greenyblue isn’t available for Wimbledon, so we’re going to have to work overtime down there…

Great British Countryside in Yorkshire

Hi, it’s Harry Silhouetteof-Wolfhowlingonthehill. We’re really looking forward to tonight’s second episode of The Great British Countryside at 8pm, as it’s focusing on Yorkshire.

Yorkshire’s the home of Bronte country, with the Bronte sisters setting their novels within a brooding greenygreyness. So we’re hoping there’s lots of our favourite colour combination in tonight’s episode. It certainly looks like there will be from the photo on the programme’s site, available from the above link.

There was a lot of greenygreyness in last week’s first episode, which focused on Devon and Cornwall. While we’d seen most of it before, we were surprised to see that copper is so greenygrey. So we took a screen print to show you, and it’s copied below. There are still three weeks left to watch the first episode on iplayer in the UK; don’t know about other availability. Enjoy!

Best Photos of 2011 in Amazing(ly Greenygrey) New Video

Hi, it’s Andy Wolfhol.  Our best of 2011 greenygrey photos proved so popular with us, that we made a fantastic new free video containing lots of greenygrey photos, and released it onto YouTube without further ado.

Dedicated to the Doors

I’ve also copied it below for your convenience. As the Jim Morrison documentary recently inspired a fabulous new FM poem on the fmpoetry site I’m dedicating the video to the Doors. Here’s the new free video, enjoy!:

Hummingbird to Bomber: the Greenygrey comes in All Sizes

Hi, it’s Wolfgang.  Sorry I haven’t been around much lately, but I’ve been researching the Greenygrey legacy for posterity.  But the last post with the image of a greenygrey stadium and reddish running track got me thinking.

You know, one thing I’ve found out during my research is that the greenygrey comes in all shapes and sizes.  And another is that it can look very nice with extra colours complementing it.  I can recall wolf-whistling at many a fair greenygrey lady wearing stylish lipstick and rouge in my younger days, and have since noticed that this combination comes in all shapes and sizes.

Why, just look at these two examples.  First, you have the itty bitty hummingbird, which is one of the smallest birds in the world.

And then you have the big bulky Lancaster bomber, which is one of the biggest planes around; well, back in the good old days anyway!

Nikon Advert Crowns Greenygrey King of Colours

Hi, it’s Harry Silhouetteof-Wolfhowlingonthehill, media analyst at the Greenygrey.  I was watching the ads the other day, when I was amazed to see green and grey get starring roles in a Nikon advert.

Nikon Camera Life Photograph Colours Advert

I was pleased to see that a great Nikon advert for its D5100 calls the Greenygrey the king of colours.  Well, that’s what it looks like to me anyway, as seen in the above image.

While the Greenygrey is very honoured, Green says it and Grey do not want to be considered better than any other colour combinations.  They are of course genderless too.

The whole advert can be seen on Youtube, and it is embedded below:
