Debbie Harry and Blondie Awarded Glastonbury

A terrific triple greenYgrey photo-stories and Debbie Harry and Blondie going 3G for Glastonbury Metro edition yesterday made me work overtime to bring you another greenYgrey photos special. It’s great to see our rebranding getting such great media coverage.

greenYgrey Gold Find

Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman, head honcho of greenYgrey Creation in the absence of the legendary Andy Wolfhol. In a Metro story by Aidan Radnedge, a California couple look like they dedicated their $10 million gold coins find to the greenYgrey’s rebranding from this photo:

greenYgrey Bank Vault

Maybe they’ll keep their gold in a Swiss bank vault. A Nicole Le Marie story alerted me to one being sold that looks like it’d provide a great greenYgrey home:

Fairtrade Bananas

While gold is good, bananas are great… and fairtrade bananas are fantastic. An article about the value and benefit of buying fairtrade bananas by Amy Dawson had this fantastic photo of Colombian banana farmer Foncho Cantillo in front of a Billboard made from 5,000 real bananas on Clapham Common.

Cantillo positioned himself well to make sure grey was included in the greenY photo.

Another photo featured Harry Hill, who is of course the human parallel of our very own Harry Silhouetteof-Wolfhowlingonhill, and a fairtrade ambassador.

Hill only had a little grey in his photo, so he gets a smaller image:

And finally, what a fortnight for Debbie Harry of Blondie fame. First of all she was the top half of Marc Latham’s epic Valentine Folding Mirror poem, and on Wednesday she was awarded the Godlike Genius (2G) award at the NME award ceremony.

In a Metro story reported by Jenni McKnight, Debbie Harry also announced that Blondie would be headlining one of the nights at this year’s Glastonbury (1G).

Congratulations and Good Luck to Debbie and Blondie, and thanks to the Metro.

Poem about Search for What Matters and What Matter Is

Marc Latham’s latest Folding Mirror poem was inspired by a Ben Gilliland article in the Metro newspaper (November 4th, 2013). It is still available on the cosmonline.com website.

Scientific Wordplay Poem about Search for Matter

The middle and bottom half of the poem contains details about the search for what matter is, as the ‘normal’ matter we think we know accounts for less than 5% of what is thought to be out there.

The first half of the poem plays on the double meaning of the word ‘matter’.

Metro (British newspaper)

Not Everything Matters, All is Matter

why does nothing seem to matter?
what’s the matter?
what’s the matter with you?
what’s the matter in you?
what’s the matter around you?
what’s the matter you can’t see?
what’s the matter you can’t feel?

normal matter only 4.9%, 95.1% still a mystery
something’s sticking universe, scientists conducting experiments
it interacts with gravity, but not with electromagneticity

weakly interacting massive particles offer hope
WIMPs matter because they impact atoms
theoretically energising nudged atom nucleus
flash photon and electrons release
creates detectable light for machines
hoping to identify
if anything beyond us really matters

Stella McCartney London Fashion Show Spectacular

Hi, it’s Stella Lagerwolf-Bruno, fashionista suprema at the Greenygrey, loved up with Stella McCartney’s new fashion range. Also still in love with Kate Moss, who looked ab fab in London with her nice man Jamie Hince.

First of all, apologies to you if you tried to read the Greenygrey yesterday morning and the website was down. We hoped that it was because lots of fashionistas had logged in to check out the new greenygrey fashion developments from the London Fashion Show, but it was just one of those Gremlins.

Secondly, apologies to Stella McCartney. You know, I love Stella really (but her mother Linda’s veggie sausages more!) and our rivalry is just a greenygrey media creation.

I think Paco Wolfsang must have got carried away with it, because my apprentice fashionista totally missed Stella McCartney’s greenygrey spectacular at London Fashion Week in his LFW report.

Thankfully, more experienced fashionistas at the Metro newspaper spotted the greenygreying spectacular, and through the wonders of modern technology, I have now imported them into the Greenygrey world for your delecation:

The Board of Greenygrey Fashion Quality Control has controversially passed Stella McCartney’s outfit as greenygrey:

There was nothing controversial about Stella McCartney’s synchonised greenygreying display:

Gemma Atkinson Metro Interview Provides WWW Link

Hi, it’s Paco Wolfsang, fashionista extraordinaire understudy to Stella Lagerwolf-Bruno at the Greenygrey. I’ve been loving the WWW weeks at the Greenygrey, and think I spotted the perfect link between the women and working-class weeks just past, and the wolf week to come.

English: WWW's "historical" logo, cr...
English: WWW’s “historical” logo, created by Robert Cailliau. Made of three W using the Optima Bold font, according to Cailliau himself. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Wolf is of course the iconic logo for all animal welfare and environmental matters, as women is for people and working-class for equality.

Gemma Atkinson Metro Interview

In the Metro newspaper on Thursday (August 22nd) glamour model turned actress Gemma Atkinson was asked about her most extravagant purchase, and she replied:

‘I don’t know if it’s from being up north or just being a tight b*****d but when it comes to fashion I’ve always been one of those that says: ‘I’m not paying that amount of money for a pair of shoes.’ My mum says: ‘Life’s too short, buy them,’ but I can’t do it. I can’t pay £800 for a pair of shoes when I could just spend £40. I’ll spend money on organic food but I’m not extravagant other than that.’

Beautiful Bury

So Gemma Atkinson is obviously a beautiful woman with environmental concerns, and sounds working-class. And when we researched the Gemma Atkinson website we found she is a Bury lass; just like Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale and was featured on this website during women and feminism week.

Bury sounds a much more beautiful location now!
