winter festival closing ceremony

With Blondie having opened mistYmuse 20/21 it would have been fitting that The Pretty Reckless close it, as they appeared together in a Folding Mirror poem structured around song titles on this site in 2014:

Valentine Love Poem, Songs Without Music
Debbie Harry and Taylor Momsen, New York two Generations R&R
Heavy Metal Ballad, Beyond Elite Understanding

Dreaming of Your Prescence Dear
on an Island of Lost Souls
Plastic Letters melted In The Sun
The Hardest Part was Hanging on the Telephone
waiting for you to Call Me
don’t have a Heart of Glass
so it would have been Atomic Rapture
to meet you In The Flesh
but Parallel Lines don’t cross
and my vow that Pretty Baby
One Way or Another
I’m Gonna Love You Too
disappeared at 11.59
that time when The Tide is High
didn’t even Die Young Stay Pretty
instead developing a Poet’s Problem

Go Through It writing, Nothing Left to Lose

Factory Girl manufacturing my thoughts
ideas that Make Me Wanna Die
exploding into silent angst Since You’re Gone
Void and Null
I never was no Superhero
Where Did Jesus Go
not leading your Blonde Rebellion that
did once Light Me Up
seems a place Far From Never
when my love Heart would always Panic
but Everybody Wants Something From Me
so didn’t hear You say Follow Me Down
I’m Going to Hell wanna Burn
together I Really Fucking Love You
Sweet Things please Kill Me

Then it was clinched when The Pretty Reckless released a great new album during mYm 20/21, with a sensational first single:

For the fireworks finale, here’s my ‘healing (heilung) brand’ impersonation of the PinkyOrangePurple sunrise sky:

Thanks for attending mYm 20/21 and making it the biggest and best ever! Hope you’ll return for mYm 21/22…

Sunset historic photos

Here’s four photos from a historic Stanningley, Leeds sunset, winter 2006 I think, a decade before the new POP (PinkyOrangePurple) age inspired by those twilight time colours correlating with the pop art travel quest theme of XaW Files: Beyond Humanity.

They remind me of some UFO film and photos, especially the triangular one with a light underneath, rumoured to be a new USAF stealth craft called the TR3B, featuring anti-gravity plasma.

#mym20. Tuesday morning sunrise, south-east sky

Friday Afternoon sunset in the south-west sky

sun lit tree… sunlitree… sultry
in a winter lea… wintrysolar earthly… Solarthly… so lovely
Inspired by a Stanningley (Hill) Sunset, which works pretty well with The Kinks’ Waterloo Sunset…

#mym20. After a similar scene before a nap (sun nap, sunap) earlier in the week morphed the two words (Stanningley/Sunlitree [itself blended together from sun lit tree]} together during it and inspired the words above I took a photo (sun nap, snap) of it yesterday.

Go greenYgrey and you’ll undoubtedly see reality a different way!:

pop art accident… or sky mind connection?

It was only after seeing the twelve sunrise photos after taking them and posting them here that I thought they looked like Andy Warhol’s original pop art, such as the soup cans screen print.

And after posting the whole blog post with Blondie’s Picture This I remembered there were also Debbie Harry screenprints done by Warhol

I prefer this photo I just found while searching them:

All the above happened unconsciously/accidentally, like PinkyOrangePurple emerging out of the XaW Files: Beyond Humanity pop art travel quest for the greenYgrey world’s Andy Warhol: Andy Wolfhol.

I didn’t think I’d see the sun yesterday, after a cloudy rain weather forecast, and it was only because the sunrise has now moved farther south, and I could see some pink clouds that I bothered turning the camera on!

That’s after I took a few on Friday; mistYmuse eve; when the forecast was for high pressure, and there’d been a sunny Thursday, but it was mostly cloudy:

On Friday there was a cloud gap on the horizon, showing the sunrise true position over the south of the city (much farther south than last month’s photos), while yesterday there was cloud on the horizon, so the photos were later, and over a more scenic treescape.

Now, the sunrise is returning to where I first noticed the PinkyOrangePurple colours of twilight times, and wrote of it as part of greenYgrey’s epic third and last ramble:

Sun diva star turned up for opening ceremony!

The British sun can be a bit of a diva star, so I didn’t know if it’d turn up for the mistYmuse (most ideal sunrise times – midwinter until spring equinox) 20/21 opening ceremony today, starting four months of sky fun (probably the longest festival in the world!?)… but it did!

I was reminded of this sunshine on Earth video recently, so thought it was a fitting opening show, after male acts opened and closed last year’s mYm 19/20!

TEA-EAT-ATE: Perfect 3×3 Anagram Box

TEA
EAT
ATE

Did you know three-letter anagrams like TEA-EAT-ATE work forward and down when close together like the above?
Is this commonly known? I guess so.

My thinking  followed this ‘box’ I posted in a  Facebook post this week:

TEA
4A2
3T3

eat tea for two
two Ts in: EAT TEA

TEA AND EAT in that box also create a letters T of course!

The numbers refer to two words of three letters, with two of each letters and the others adding up to four. The T shape of the letters could also be added to the two teas spelt out to make three.

I didn’t realise it until after writing it that EAT TEA is a longer way of saying E.T., as in extra-terrestrial!!

It also fits into my philosoT (edited down from philosophT) categories previously created here, referring to the drink tea rather than the food tea.

If it was provided by my muse for mistYmuse 2019/20 (#mYm2019) I thank my muse.

The box shape reminded me of 1987 (year I started travelling! Horror movies like that interweaved with the rock/metal music I liked) classic horror fiction Hellraiser’s box, but that is much more intricate and multi-dimensional!

Dear ol’ Pinhead, one of my favourite characters of that genre then.
Hellraiser fandom:— The first meeting between protagonist and antagonist:
Kirsty Cotton: “Who are you?”
Pinhead: “Explorers in the further regions of experience. Demons to some, angels to others.”

Leeds Sunrise Lives Up to mistYmuse Hype

Scheduled to arrive in Leeds by 9am I thought I may see some ‘sunrise’, with the sun now visible from the city after 8am, and the sky lightening and colouring beforehand: this gives mistYmuse its Most Ideal Sunrise Times first-half-of-word acronym (#mYm2019).

As I approached the city on the canal towpath I was thrilled to see there was POP (PinkyOrangePurple) on the horizon; like the common ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ idiom. Here’s a couple of photos, with a third of it cropped for a close-up.

Free Sunrise Research – Celebrating mistYmuse First Week

After a bright start to the neo-pagan mistYmuse (Most Ideal Sunrise Times – Midwinter Until Spring Equinox) winter festival it’s been a wet greenYgrey week in the UK, with limited opportunities for terrific twilight photos taken by only the most tenacious. However, after low pressure has dominated,  high pressure is forecast for tomorrow and the next few days, providing lots of opportunities for tremendous twilight times viewing.

Apologies to readers from outside the UK if this blog post is UKcentric, but there is some mistYmuse information that is relevant to everybody, about how location affects the sunrise times. The research I reveal for free below is not as clear doing it internationally, because of time differences.

Sunrise Variations

The ‘Most Ideal Sunrise Times’ of mistYmuse was inspired by Leeds times, with the midwinter sunrise of about 08.30 ideal for the traditional starting time of 9am for many workplaces and institutions.

However, even in the UK those times can vary depending on location, as our planet Earth is spinning around anti-clockwise on an axis, and the farther south and east you are in the northern hemisphere means you see the sun the earliest in winter – known to us as ‘sunrise’.

New Sunrise Research

Using the timeanddate website, Inverness in the north of Scotland is already in that ‘ideal time’, with sunrise today at 08.26.

Farther south, Edinburgh was at 08.13. At about the same latitude, but farther west, Glasgow was at 08.17.

Belfast is farther south again, but also farther west, so is also at 08.17; its more southerly location would have made the sunrise earlier than Glasgow, but because it’s more west as well, that cancelled out the southerly gains.

Farther south and east, Cardiff was at 07.51; and continuing east at about the same latitude, London was at 07.38.

Leeds, mistYmuse heartland, farther north and a little more west than London, in the middle of the UK, was at 07.55 today.

Returning to time, rather than location, Leeds’s sunrise is twelve minutes later than seven days ago (07.43), the first day of mistYmuse 2019/20 (#mYm2019).

While the above is focused on the UK it’s the same around the world, and you can search world cities on the timeanddate website; I have no interest or contact with that website, and have just used it as you can.

I have written some great books though!
