white christmas white friday: no big savings honesty, but cold showers may?!

If you haven’t bought greenYgrey yet, there’s been no better time… or worse! Here’s a few Facebook general environmental/political thoughts that have nothing to do with XaW Files: Beyond Humanity, the book I think you should buy this Christmas, to give the gift of greenYgrey!

Winter Cold/Hot Showers

When I started taking cold showers for the environment (energy and water use) two springs ago I’d turn the shower on twice, as I turned it off while I soaped.

I thought that was using up energy, so now I use cold water from the tap, via an old big plastic milk carton, to wet; then soap; and then turn the shower on to rinse: with hot water now in winter!

I think it’s also making me healthier and stronger (internally and mentally), in line with the Wim Hof method (no link or contact to me!), who’s furthered medical knowledge of humanity by experimenting on himself.

Vegan/Vegetarian

A vegan only cancels out themselves. If they bring one meat-eater into the country they cancel out their ‘good’. 2 meat-eaters and they cause twice as much meat-eating as a meat-eater who doesn’t support mass immigration! And so it goes up, 3, 5, 10, 100, 1000…

If I give up on green environmentalism it’ll be giving up on humanity and the planet, rather than what I think is right and good; if animals are just going to die by plastic/climate_change, then they might as well be eaten!

I’m still ‘just’ a vegetarian. Many have become vegans since I started, and many have stopped; many ‘influencers’, ‘writers’ and ‘journalists’ rewarded with big financial paydays for their brief soirees into non-meat eating! I salute the vegans who’ve stuck at it.

While ‘trendy vegans’ may have done animals a little good in their much publicised time, they’ve probably done more harm than good overall, as people will think the whole movement is ‘fake’ or ‘unhealthy’.

Especially if they’re flying around everywhere, and supporting open borders immigration!

Immigration and Environmental Destruction

There’s no good and evil about immigration, as some like to claim about those who want to restrict it; just different ways to look at a world that is massively overpopulated; and that is probably suffering environmental destruction and mass extinction because of it.

I consider myself indigenous to Britain and an environmentalist. In other countries those two go together, but in the UK and Europe they are usually on different sides of politics, with those who consider themselves ‘indigenous’ considered ‘nationalistic’ and ‘right-wing’, while environmentalists are usually on the left.

I know the ‘indigenous’ I’m referring to are usually in the minority, but ‘white Britons/Europeans’ are projected to be a minority in the near future… and especially if the left/Greens get their way and open up the borders!

We’re having a White Christmas Friday Charity Match at the greenYgrey, I’ve already given much more to charity than earned through royalties (or articles etc pay), but any sales of XaW Files until Christmas will be fully matched with extra charity donations, added to my regular ones to Guide Dogs, Dogs Trust and British Legion. I’m also a lifetime member of the Woodland Trust, offsetting book paper!

Dan Brown’s Inferno: Dante’s Hell a Prophecy

Hi, it’s Harry Silhouetteof-Wolfhowlingonhill, television correspondent at the Greenygrey. Hot off the press news from a just taken place Dan Brown BBC Breakfast interview. It’s a serious blog post though, so if you expect and need my usual attempts at comedy to brighten a Monday morning I’d advise leaving now; the same goes for devout/delusional believers in monotheistic religions, which still means the vast majority of the world, cutting our readership and sales opportunities down somewhat, but again suggesting that we blog what we really think, rather than what we think will sell.

Dante Created Modern Vision of Hell

Talking about his new Inferno book, Dan Brown explained that it is about Dante’s Middle-ages epic poem, which after conducting strenuous research, Brown discovered has created our modern version of Hell. It had only been alluded to before that.

Brown’s book twists Dante’s Hell into prophecy rather than commentary, with our planet’s overpopulation spiralling our planet into a Hell on Earth.

Earth, Environment and Hell

I don’t know if Brown’s Hell on Earth will come true; I’d probably be accused of being an environmental extremist if I said I thought it likely to happen.

Today’s Earth might seem like Hell to somebody of a few centuries ago, when nature was in balance and animal life plentiful.

A hellish Earth certainly seems to be coming true for many animals and species, but they don’t really count under monotheism, which proclaims them as mere servants and products for humanity, rather than our close cousins and sharers of most DNA as in evolutionary science.

We don’t believe in monotheistic religion, therefore we don’t believe in the Devil and Hell, which are part of the scripts, so please don’t accuse us of being Devil-worshippers, or being on the ‘dark-side’, because we don’t believe in a Devil, seeing as there is clear historical evidence to prove that it was created out of old pagan deities: as Dante’s Hell was created; the Wizard of Oz was created; and Greenygrey’s Rambles was created.

Dante’s Hell might have been useful as a Middle-Ages control mechanism, but the monotheistic religions usually provided a get-out clause, with men given dominion over women and animals, to treat them as they wished; and the fallen forgiven as long as they repented/converted.

Modern monotheistic religion still provides a guide to many people, and is practised properly by some people, but to many it is just used as an excuse for power and preferential treatment.

People who put other people through Hell on Earth suddenly remember their godly ways when caught out, and demand preferential treatment in line with their until-then-forgotten religious beliefs; playing the human rights card that they only believe in for themselves; sure in the belief that their God will be pleased with them, and provide a wonderful afterlife… not caring about the life they leave behind on Earth.

Eagle Poem about Spirit Animals, Dreams and our shared Environment

Marc Latham’s latest poem is about those that inspire dreams in the sky; as well as the increasing danger to wildlife from a human population that has just grown by a billion to 7b in little over a decade, and with some leading thinkers calling for the West to race with China’s uncontrolled building program.

Although it is of course understandable that individual people and collective societies want to acquire a decent standard of living, or protect the one they already have.  Here’s the poetry:

Eagle Down

Imagination inspiration
preparing breakfast
over fantastic spread
swoops downstairs

through unknown tunnel

oncoming traffic
clips resplendent wings
spirit grounded
broken dreamcatcher
