Thanks to Willow Croft for arranging and conducting an eco interview with me. Great to reminisce about environment, travelling and writing with someone I feel is on the same wavelength on those topics; and dredge up some memories of writers and creations that influenced me, from somewhere in my memory!

Poetry and Philosophy 10th Anniversary
Free ebook to download of peak pagan poetry and philosophy book from this website, before the creative juices dried, and the desire to create structured poetry declined; resulting in the slow and sublime entropy of the last decade (and third poetry collection), and the literary nonsense prose poetry of XaW Files: Beyond Humanity. Then there were the snippets of Facebook colourful background poems, and now, just a big empty void.

Free Werewolf Wizard of Oz Fantasy Poetry Prose Ebook
Free to download in July for 10th anniversary: a book with an eco message showing the nice side of wolves to counter the historic demonising, with a Wizard of Oz fantasy theme mixed with the factual forced migration of British children around the Commonwealth for a century, which had recently been told in the book/film Oranges and Sunshine.
Book summary blurb on Smashwords:
Rebel without a cause, werewolf without claws, Grey travels across all regions of Oz (Australia) in a comedy-fantasy parody of the Wizard of Oz.
It is not witches that hunt the protagonist for a ruby slipper, but monotheists desperate to get their hands on an emerald cork hat. There’s no scarecrow, tin man and cowardly lion searching for brain, heart and courage; instead, we have Elle McPherson, Angry Anderson and Bon Scott inspired characters needing a body, mind and spirit confidence boost.
Will Grey and the intrepid travellers elude their pursuers and reach their destination? This book provides amazing action and surreal comedy in poetry and prose before reaching a cohesive and thrilling ending.

Werewolf of Oz: Fantasy Travel by Google Maps Free Ebook
I’ve made my old book (2012) that light-heartedly twists the Wizard of Oz theme into one of good pagans and bad monotheists; inspired by the Homes Children historic child abuse being uncovered by Margaret Humphreys (told in the Oranges and Sunshine book and film, starring Emily Watson; as well as ‘nice’ movies like Crocodile Dundee and Australia) and the industrial scale street grooming (much of it targeting Homes Children) largely uncovered at the time. It has a veggie werewolf hero and lots of anthropomorphic characters travelling Australia; and a body, mind and spirit theme replacing heart, brain and courage; free on Smashwords (need a free account) as part of their coronavirus Authors Give Back promotion. You can use the code on the site or CR86V.

Start of Half Year Self Experiment Photos
Inspired by werewolf folklore, a moon or two before the start of mistYmuse 2019/20, and after a decent summer of exercise, at the start of October just after my 54th birthday, I decided to stop cutting my hair and shaving. These are the last photos beforehand (for art and science rather than bravado and machismo):
Poetry in Motion Princess Kate Remembers What Made Her Great
I was disappointed Princess Kate seemed to have become a Calamity Kate recently, buying a shotgun as Britain goes weapons crazy!
Kate Returns to Form
So I was delighted to see Princess Kate return to great greenYgrey form on a visit to Blackpool recently (maybe tangerine would have been more fitting though?), sporting big green and grey, and a little yellow in the arrow symbol of her handbag and the umbrella handle.
So I wrote this Folding Mirror poem to celebrate, adapting it from a spontaneous poem that seeped down effortlessly from the unconscious, and that is included below the FM one.
Swapping Shotgun for Umbrella, Remembering gYg Princess Era
Princess Kate taking up shooting
was like a poisoned ↑
through my greenYgrey wolf ♥.
Seeing symbol on handbag
like Y in disguise
deflated, like crushed umbrella.
is T a good umbrella symbol, between windy Y and deflated ↑
Thankfully, brolly she’s holding
in stormy Blackpool photo
sheltered her from rain.
One day when sunny again
Kate will consider birdsong celebrations
more important than dinner conversations.
The original poem posted on Facebook.
Princess Kate taking up shooting
was like a poisoned arrow
through my greenYgrey heart
but seeing the symbol on her handbag
I see it’s just like a Y in disguise
deflated like a storm-broken umbrella.
Thankfully, the brolly she’s holding
in the stormy Blackpool photo
sheltered her from the rain
and one day when the sun shines
Kate will consider birdsong celebrations
more important than dinner conversations.
If you liked the above, and love birdy animals, you should be very interested to know it’s the last day or two, depending where you are, of my latest poetry book and second of the greenYgrey trilogy – fantasy fiction parody comedy Australia travel -being free on Smashwords:

X Files Returns: Writer Mind Revealed
The X Files returns on Fox for its tenth series tonight, and it’s looking greenYgreyer than ever. Thanks to Fox for creating an intelligent series that makes its audience think, and question the world around them.
XaW Files: Mystery of the Writer Mind
While X Files only provided a framework for XaW Files: Beyond Humanity, the book does try to investigate my own mind, providing an insight into the difficult process of writing a whole book telling an original story, featuring multiple diverse characters who travel over the vast distances of the whole of Eurasia and beyond.
The book kept to the format of the first nine X Files series, as shown on Wikipedia:

No Need for Wizard of Oz Theories for Werewolf
YouTube has many videos offering theories for the real meaning behind the Wizard of Oz, with most considering the book to have been an allegory for the economic situation in the U.S.A. at the start of the twentieth century. This video is an example, and also has some great greenYgrey scenery… at the start, before green takes over!
Werewolf of Oz
Hi, it’s G.G. Howling, satirical comedy fiction writing correspondent inspired by J.K. Rowling.
Luckily for today’s Werewolf of Oz readers, our Grey explained the background to that book. It turned the witches of the Wizard of Oz around to criticise fundamentalist monotheist religion through the monotonous monotheists, while supporting the right to follow monotheistic religions in a personal worth rather than personal gain way through the mildly monotheistic Moby.
It also featured the WWW of the greenYgrey world, with strong independent women; a (were)wolf leading an animal welfare and environmentalism theme, and working class characters rising above discrimination.
It also tried to throw in a lot of comedy, while providing geographic, cultural and historical information about Australia. It is still on sale, and as relevant today as when it was written all those moons ago.

Mirror Poem Inspired by Wolf Calendar Photo
There’s a new Folding Mirror poem on fmpoetrywordpress.com, and it’s one close to our hearts, as it combines the two things most important to a werewolf: a human and a wolf. Yes, it’s a poem created by a human about a wolf.
While there are many examples of wolves making friends with humans, and even bringing up human babies, such as the Remus and Romulus legend about the founding of Rome, there is no existing evidence of a wolf writing a poem about humans… or anything else for that matter. Wolves are too busy being wolves, and doing wolf things!
Wolf Mirror Poem
Hi, it’s William Wolfsworth, poetry correspondent at the greenYgrey inspired by legendary Romantic poet William Wordsworth.
Yes, Marc Latham has created and posted a new mirror poem onto fmpoetry, and I’ve imported it into the greenygrey world this morning. Here it is:
Wolves 2012 Calendar, October Star Wolf
fire melting gold
fall full flow
leaves oval shaped
seem to poke
fun behind rump
tongue-twisting
on thin reaching branches
both stand on rock, green and grey coloured
under strong running legs
tree-like
paws resemble plinths
keep head grounded
feminine tongue smiles
sunrise eyes shine
below mountain peaks
