Heart is Where the ear Feels at Home

The above poem image uses a shenel (my genius word within a word invention), paraphrasing the proverb that:

‘A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.’;

mixing it with the common opening to a word of advice:

‘A word in your ear…’

3 letters completing a word h(ear)t is probably always going to be worth more than the first two letters without another to complete a word h(ea)d;

thinking of Monopoly myself, where you buy houses and then a hotel; the letters in the shenel phrase (e, a and r) are like houses, and the complete word like a hotel.

*The heading wordplays the phrase ‘Home is where the heart is.’

POETRY PHILOSOPHY

While I hopefully showed the skills I garnered/used to get my PhD over the last ten days, defending my demographic, I don’t really enjoy that; although the evidence was so easy to find, as I already knew the information, it was quite rewarding; and like with my university research, I’m glad to finish it. That’s why I took up creative writing afterwards; to freely write what I enjoyed more, although I still had an ideology within; animals, environment, class, feminism etc.

The personal value of blogging is that I record my writing, as well as promoting it. I’d forgotten about Femen until seeing that photo yesterday; it seems a long time ago now. And Femen are still going, with a campaign I like: blasphemy is good.

Makes me think the British Establishment’s promotion of immigrants from the most sexist religious countries; and the use of ‘racism’ to shut down blasphemous freedom of speech is to counter such groups as Femen; I haven’t heard of them for years.

Anyway I digress, here’s a few of my latest philosophical poetry snippets I first posted on Facebook, with some heavy rain last week inspiring the first few. if you really like any, please post to Brainy Quote!

Comfortable cloud, all fluffy about,
but nature rains, rules flushed out.

Lucky drops of rain
land directly on grain
brewing nature
heaven on Earth mixture.

Only the insane, sunbathe in rain
if I was a steam train, my streaming smoke’d explain,
the direction I’m going is the other way.

Race and religion
are just clouds of confusion
I want to ascend above
to my single point of love…

Sleep is closer to reality,
point of singularity,
mind space as one,
free of body bone.

Is the sun one big alien,
or are aliens based on sun,
on Earth it’s not known to anyone,
searching smoking gun!

There’s NO going back: … ON …

For all humanity knows, there could be giant billions-years-old space creatures that use stars as we use fires, and the planets orbiting around them are cooking like marshmallows.

Taking the single path isn’t less.
It’s more in some ways.
Like getting a double cone of the same flavour; instead of different.

My books are full of such poetic philosophy:

Wordplay for New Year’s Day

TEA
3A3
ATE

Leaving just one word each of tea-eat-ate creates a typical capital i shape, as in:

That letter (i) was of course the prime theme in my other letter wordplay (letterology!) post this week.

Even More Wordplay

Another EAT is created going backwards diagonally from square 9 to 1.

All three words can be fitted into five letters from nine in a cascading letters wave, for example, TEATE:
TEA, to start, then adding the other T for T(EAT), and then the other E for TE(ATE).
This works the other ways: EATEA (ATE and TEA added to EAT) and ATEAT (TEA and EAT added to ATE).

Happy Wordplay New Year!!!

We are now in the second month of mistYmuse 2019/20 (#mYm2019), the four-months long zero carbon (maybe) longest festival ever!
My latest books, now in the shadow underground,
were more extensive examples of the new light above:

Winter Months Fireside Wordplay Poem

The dark cold hinterland between the Northern Hemisphere’s late autumn/fall and winter is here. A perfect time for fireside retrospection and wordplay.
On the second day of #mYm2019 here is the first poem to wordplay the embers of months with those of fires, as far as I know.

Warminster UFOs: My Western Sky Birth Party?

As the brightest comet of the 20th century, Ikeya-Seki, shone in the far eastern sky around my birth, there was one of the biggest prolonged UFO experiences in the near west, in Warminster, Wiltshire – from my Jersey boy birth – as far as I know!

I’m not trying to scare you, or recruit you for a cult, just having a rational(ien) entertaining investigation of a couple of sky events around my birth; a birth date/year I probably share with hundreds or thousands of people, some of whom lived nearer one of the events, and some who lived more in the middle, greenYgrey style!

Warminster UFOs – Ikeya Seki

It was reading about the Warminster UFO hearings/sightings in Nigel Watson’s UFO: Investigations Manual (pages 51-3) that led me to discover Ikeya-Seki, as I’d never heard about it (or Warminster) before, as far as I remember now anyway.

Watson wrote the book giving ‘rational’ context as well as ‘romantic’, and does that with Warminster. It is near a lot of ancient sites, such as Stonehenge and Glastonbury, with several ley lines passing through it, but there was also a lot of military activity there.

The Warminster UFO outbreak, as described by Watson, started in December, 1964, and lasted for about a year – covering my birth date; as comet Ikeya-Seki did, being discovered September 18th, 1965, and seen until last perihelion on October 21st.

Returning to research Ikeya-Seki today, I found these greenYgrey and POP (PinkyOrangePurple) sky photos attributed to it on Bing. I don’t know if it is actually it, and if the photos have been edited?:

Warminster UFOs Investigated

The Warminster experience started with prolonged loud otherworldly noises in the night, which looking at it rationally, could have been something military – although it was a long time ago, it was twenty years after nuclear bombs were dropped in the east, and V2 doodlebug rockets had whistled above Blighty. The space race was also already on.

However, then there were many sightings, although a rationalist would argue that the noise had triggered them, and people were seeing things they wanted to see; or seeing things such as military balloons as UFOs.

There were some photos, and lots of media reporting and books, but I don’t know how authentic they are; although they look impressive… and with lots of gYgPOP relevance!

Thankfully, the ‘invasion’ never happened. Moreover, researching it a little online, there had been ‘mysterious happenings’ reports in the town before the 1960s. Again, that could have been military, especially in Cold War, nuclear threat 1950s Blighty.

 Area 51 Coincidences?

Becoming quite knowledgeable in the subject now, I could connect the stories through Area 51; said to be the name of the USA’s top secret base, where UFOs are said to be, if anywhere.

The Warminster experience starts on page 51 in Watson’s book, but it is a book full of UFO stories, so one of them was going to be on page 51.

The Ikeya-Seki comet is also known as S1, which is also supposed to be another name for  Area 51. I guess it was called that after Seki, which is a way they are named, but don’t know why it wasn’t named after Ikeya, or both?

Comets can look like UFOs of course, and the painting of Ikeya-Seki featured in yesterday’s blog post does look like a classic UFO!

My X-Files parody book looked for coincidences rather than UFOs, and it is the media that has rekindled my interest in it.

Happy Y-Day with Annie Lennox

I hope you’ve had a great Y-day, and it’s helped you cope with Blue Monday, supposedly the most depressing day of the year, in the northern hemisphere. Apparently it was a misty morning again this morning, but I didn’t see it; it had evaporated before I awoke. So I also missed the ‘blood wolf moon’ in the early hours too. I did see the full moon earlier, not knowing about it beforehand. So quite an exciting eventful day for Y-Day, although the weather for most of the day has been ordinary greenYgrey.

Y-Day: Looking Back and Forward

I think I had too much T yesterday, celebrating T20, Y-day eve, so I’m T-teetotal today; a day of Tabstinence from after this paragraph, replacing it with a – dash.

One Morning’s Century of Thought

I have a confession. I have been brewing coffilosophy in other kitchens of thought, in this great mansion of social media, within the community of www. Then this morning a story about a space mission that will take forty years compounded my thoughts on time being the best teacher. If that mission is a success, then the people who are around then, and know its results, will know much more about our existence than the deepest searching thinkers of today and the past.

Doors of Perception: Time is the Top Teacher (T3)

People like Aldous Huxley, who inspired The Doors band name. I’m just playing their 1968 L.A. concert on YouTube. When The Doors and other 1960s counter-culture bands were doing most of their searching, humanity hadn’t landed on the moon yet, with that taking place in 1969; if you believe NASA and the astronauts.

So when you think of all the knowledge we’ve acquired about space, and our existence within it, in the last fifty years; such as icy moons around Jupiter and Saturn that provide a good chance of life, if we can get probes there, with missions planned in the next decade; then we’ve gone some way to answering some of the questions Jim Morrison was wondering about, and searching for through mental searching, sometimes involving stimulants.

Neuroscience has answered many others, with brain scanning particularly helpful.

Of course mental searching can provide insight into yourself, and clues as to the rest of humanity, if you believe we are all alike in some ways.

I could’ve written a Folding Mirror poem about it, but think/know I’ve written some similar ones before, both our time in the present between past and future, and the advances in astronomy and neuroscience mirroring each other.

In line with the trend of abbreviating and imaging everything, I did think seeing around a century of thought could be reduced to the image:  See the source imagevia the acronym: ICT.
