Life Out of Line with Time
Turning T-I-M-E into L-I-F-E can devowel/devour;
distorting synchronicity, imploding TM without exit plan E;
disturbing journey!

Sow mind once again threads letters into words; stringing together this g-ar-men-t; some will see men art, others gr (angry) meant

Living bodies like ‘God’ glass jars! With different shapes/products; but all containers for… mind and spirit? Recycled when empty?

Life’s a bad idea, could cost you dear,
better let pass by, like sleeping dogs lie, or birds fly;
sky high solo unconscious halo

Cloudy daylight, without star in sight;
for some spring chickens, first flight;
Earth distributes dew, oiling engine of flew crew

It is far better to refine than revolt

Sand Gazes Out of Hourglass, Wishes Put Out to Grass

D’ evil to fill lower void
life’s gra-in-dients to avoid
thinking it’ll fall straight under

sands of time, yours and mine

learning too late gravity rules
never seeing glass controller
meaning one becomes two added time

*The heading paraphrases “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.” I thought it was Shakespeare, but attributed to Abraham Lincoln or Mark Twain!

*The Poem
D’ evil wordplays devil.
gra-in-dients: grain and gradients.
yours and mine: everybody.
gravity rules: double meaning, rules of gravity and gravity rules! exclamation.
one becomes two cross references ‘yours and mine’ and how evil multiplies the ‘sand time’ already given, and can become a part of you, such as time in prison being an all embracing main ‘partner’; or just guilt/regret in the brain.

Hourglasses have been written about quite a lot on this site, as you can see by searching, and are in my last poetry collection.

They’ve probably been of renewed interest to my neurons since one was featured in the The Pretty Reckless song/video 25:

3 free poetry e-books 4 midwinter christmas

A cloudy day today, but the sun still shone through a gap on the horizon, before disappearing into the grey. A few bits of poetic philosophical thought from the last couple of days on Facebook:

Yesterday’s final post-sunrise thoughts:

Collected anagram evidence birth:
threadbare – read breath.
Reined in the berserk.
Returning to Earth.
Mountain trees sea surf.
I think that’s quite enough!

This morning:

A shenel poem (blending shell and kernel for words with another inside):

My h-ear-t has an inner ear,
unwrapping the pea in the pod
of communication you call s-pea-k,
preserving them in a g-row-n row.
(there was an appropriate image on Facebook, and here the alternative colour to black and grey was green!)

Prompted by an MSN article:

Don’t want to be a falien (blending fail-alien); mistake a message from E.T., give away proximity, possibly from Proxima Centauri: Goldilocks #1!
Seriously, if E.T. is contacting me without clarity, it’s difficult to aprende… if they want me to pass it on or keep it secret; if its intentional or accidental; good or evil; trick or treat; I guess I’ll never know… unless we physically meet..!?
P.S. Nice retro greenYgrey image for the new POP age leading the article!

3 Free E-Books

If you like some of the above, I’ve put my last poetry collection and the second of the greenYgrey fantasy fiction trilogy, which also includes a lot of poetry, into the Smashwords end of year sale, so the e-books are free to download and read until New Year.

The third of the greenYgrey trilogy is also free to read with an Amazon Prime account through Kindle Unlimited, and you can take out a free trial membership.

stateless mind of eternal sunshine

Sun’s primary
planetary body
formerly tree
now electricity
poem photography
stored in gallery
Tesla memory
AC/DC currency!

covid citizen portmanteau/blending: covidizen: to contrast with the previously popular word, covidiot?!
I would have been more of the latter than the former 20 or more years ago, so acknowledge a lot of it is age dependent. When I saw some richer/older people saying on TV they didn’t do anything for the planet (even recycling, or not flying to holidays several times a year – ecodiots!?) I thought it was the wrong attitude, and wouldn’t make the young care about older people so much!
Mentally, this time, where I have empty freedom to write feels like where I was always heading, but I didn’t know if I’d get here; like a rickety old house on a hill with a view back over my life. Thinking about it now, a mental-life analogy could be a street of houses, with one side’s all on fire or some other trouble/disaster; and the others all spotlessly clean; and you have to go into one house on each side all the way up the street. Some people always seem to choose the dangerous side (either cos of nature or nurture?), others the safe, and others alternate. Once you’ve been in a few ‘dangerous houses’ I think the main thing you learn is not to go back; and if you do choose that side, I’d advise only going in the house if you can see a way out!

Some leaves are brown, and sky’s often grey,
but I’m not California Dreamin‘ today,
ain’t ’60s paradise and I can wait ’til May!

Blog post title is a play on words of the movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: the kind of movie that inspired the lighter side to my books on Amazon.

end of season sail… to sky

Summer 2020 is dying in front of me: green leaves leaving only a memory; trees yellowy/orangey, or already undressed of luminosity

When I die and if skin rots away, I’ll be white skull uncomplaining about decay; but if sky heaven’s not white it’ll bring dismay!

If you can DARE READ, you have passed the anagram test for MY books; which will hopefully make you feel DREA-MY! MyOhMy; Ode2Fly!!

If I had to count every drop of rain I think it’d drive me insane, like helping every human in a world intent on inflicting pain!

Bees among blackberries day before a long spell of cold rain forecast I felt for them; like their reaper; but they showed no fear!

I don’t want to CON, and have CON-TEMPT for those who do, but I’ve never hidden my desire to TEMPT readers; without misleaders!

New pop Art wordplay poetry

There’s warmth in life,
but C+7 Cosiness can become Cooling Calamity strife;
sun – forever free,
but ODing UV can be costly…

Humanity will always win..ter before spring;
because they are the con..cepts we bring;
not dissimilar to bird..song each morning..

I Criticise to Keep Consonants Company

I: Only Vowel for Criticism

    crit-i-cism
i: 33.3% recurring
central
i two more, either side i
stand beside
another letter
third – i – seventh
like sent-i-nels guarding flanks
right – left
i: only vowel
without i
there would only be
consonants for criticism.

If you want to criticise the last four lines (putting a positive spin on it, and not wanting to waste the extra work, as in a state of coffilosophy {with Nordic chanting music] I  forgot using criticism at the start of the poem, and used criticise, making me second-think I’d got it wrong about i being the only vowel!):

i: 75% of vowels
if i buzzed off
there would only be-e
four consonants to criticise
reminding me of the film:
Four Weddings and a Funeral!
