Dream Tide Gold Word Ideas Wash Up Again

Yesterday I posted a Scorpions Death Metal cover idea on Facebook (Loving U Sunday MoUrning instead of Loving You Sunday Morning), and then behind the wall of sleep (Black Sabbath song recently featured here) I realised Death and Metal are both five-letters words with the letters E-A-T within them: the same three letters featuring in my TEA-EAT-ATE letters box mixing those letters up: my latest attempt at proving my genius!

Death is also a shenel word: an idea I had two summers ago, of words within words, with the shenel name I gave them compounding shell and kernel as in nuts; as it has eat within d-eat-h.

Another example was sa-tie-ty, as shown in this Facebook comment I made, with satiety having two letters either side of tie.

Dream Time Consciousness-Unconsciousness Beach Analogy

I’ve been studying my own consciousness-unconsciousness since starting my writing career in 2005, as shown in this ‘self-portrait’ of how I thought my brain worked:

I was inspired by the counter-culture I’d been in since the 1980s then, and the philosophers and scientists I’d learnt about in university between 1995-2005.

I remember reading about the hypnagogic state between waking and sleeping in a writing magazine sometime after 2005; thinking I really related to that.

This morning, waking up with the letters EAT again in my mind, I thought the conscious and unconscious have a relationship like beach and sea, with sleep unconscious overlapping like the sea tide, sometimes leaving debris on the beach consciousness when it has gone.

When good ideas are left like that it feels like a gift: like finding something beautiful or valuable washed up on the shore. Most of my work has come from such times, or inspired by other media, but I have also undertaken some gruelling mental voyages; like Odysseus, Jason (Argonauts) and Sinbad!; especially to complete the epic XaW Files: Beyond Humanity travel quest!
