poem inspired by snow clouds birds flock

First snow of mistYmuse 20/21 in Leeds followed a blue sky sunny morning. I saw the the first snowflakes while staring up at the neighbouring ash tree! Seeing a flock of birds among snow clouds inspired the start of this poem:

In and out of sight
birds’ highest flight
such soaring height
keep formation tight

In and out of sight
clouds grey white
subtle turns left right
materialising light.

The song below came into mind. Bon Jovi, Supremes etc have songs with same name, but this is the one I thought of. Saw them support Kiss in 1983, (and Bon Jovi support Kiss the next year!): didn’t know they’d recently reformed!

There’s lots of rock nostalgia in my books available on Smashwords and Amazon.
