NASA’s Unexplained Files on Quest

I’ve still got an open mind about UFOs: there are thousands of sightings, and some seem very convincing. I could document them all, but I’m playing catch-up myself, mostly watching old documentaries with even older cases. I intended including more today, but this case has taken up a lot of time, and I’m sure will be enough for you, as there’s so much out there… and remembering the X-Files, some of it may be true!

NASA’s Unexplained Files

Having seen most of the first and third series of NASA’s Unexplained Files, I’m now watching series 2 (2015), as it’s back on Quest in the UK on Friday nights. My favourite case in episode 1 was the X15 rocket plane test flight to the edge of space over fifty years ago, with pilot Robert White witnessing small ‘UFOs’ about the size of a sheet of paper – after first seeing particles.

He didn’t say they were alien lifeforms or anything, just there was something there unknown to him. If space is like an ocean, and we are like one small island or rock pool, then the things White and others saw on the test flights could be like seaweed or plants on our planet. While meteors are hard enough to make it through our atmosphere, maybe what White saw can’t, because they are too organic/flimsy?

There are some videos on YouTube about it, such as this one:

While it was very exciting for me to see it, on YouTube it’s followed by lots of comments from believers and sceptics, which in my mental world sums up the greenYgreyness of the issue!

China Moon Landing

While NASA is criticised for apparently hiding video of the UFOs, and other times when they’ve cut transmission during ‘UFO sightings’, unfortunately that’s the world we live in.

While NASA censors its transmissions somewhat, and I think has a slight delay on live film, China didn’t provide any ‘live’ footage of its recent unmanned landing on the dark side of the moon.

So, if the ‘West’ hadn’t been at the forefront of the space race we probably wouldn’t have hardly any ideas or footage about UFOs in space, or all the theories and conspiracies!?

My XaW Files: Beyond Humanity pushed myself to search within the mind as much as I could, while learning more about exterior events, looking for coincidences/experiences, creating a fantasy fiction storyline around it with lots of parody comedy through my dear ol’ greenYgrey protagonist.

David Bowie Song Adapted for Self-Parody Student Alphas Comedy

After my recent blog about pseudo alphas and silly students, and the rip-roaring success of my adaptation of Kiss’s King of the Night Time World to Queen of the greenYgrey World, I have ingeniously adapted David Bowie’s Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) to Pseudo Alphas (and Silly Students), with more than a hint of self-parody:

Not all ‘alphas’ are bad to the bone, or students silly to the core, of course. Hopefully you are a good one, and have great ones around you. I have learnt from some ‘alphas’, and enjoyed the dry humour I used to read in the student paper; it’s just a question of greenYgrey positivity and negativity. Most people get out alive, but unfortunately some do not.

Afternoon  of Life is Different to Morning; and Evening/Night

I don’t want to dwell on that, as I know too much empathy and evocation can be fuel for the fire. When I started to think people wanted me dead, rather than providing a fitting funeral, it was a REASON TO LIVE!

I used to dread being this age; losing my youth and hair etc; but now I’m here this is what I am, and the worries of youth is replaced with the ambivalence of age, and contentment of being more at one with nature.

In true greenYgrey style I then worry what those who aren’t going to make it might think; the terminally ill children; and I can just say that they have experienced positives and negatives, which is all life is; just compacted into a short magnified time, like waking into a bright busy morning and sleeping the rest of the day. As I have learned to love nature more as I’ve aged, they have their magical love of animals, and belief (maybe because children remember where they’ve been before being born?) in other realities to those taught to them in school and life.

If you like the above self-parody and satire, mixed with deep Doctor of Philosophy decade of creative writing  contemplation and insights, you will probably like my self(ish – the ish is another new innovation; I wish I had enough genius to share it out, but I’ve only got enough for myself unfortunately!)-proclaimed genius books (Russell’s Revolution refugees welcome!!) at Amazon and elsewhere… especially my magnum opus  XaW Files: Beyond Humanity:

Ozzy Bat Toy – Bad Taste Bad Boy

Ozzy Osbourne’s animal welfare crimes were the main reason I supported Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio during when the two sides went to war in the early 1980s. It was mainly Ozzy who was vitriolic in public, including hanging a Dio effigy on stage.

Ozzy history (Ozory)

I liked Ozzy’s voice, especially his stuff with Sabbath, but also a lot of his solo material, such as on the Blizzard of Oz album. Unfortunately, tragedy followed, as guitarist Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash.

I was down the front at the Monsters of Rock, 1986, when Ozzy headlined. Although I was mainly there to watch second-on-the-bill The Scorpions I loved Ozzy’s set, and especially his endearing stage manner. There was no animal welfare crimes, or other shenanigans, just good humour warmness.

Children of the POP Quorn Sea (or POPSeacorn?)

Ozzy’s reality TV is a mixture of funny entertainment and cringe-inducing stupidity; a big inspiration on me to cut down on my partying; but his dogs show he can be an animal lover too. Tony Iommi should be the media role model from the band, having had a couple of finger tips cut off in a work accident as a youth, and then using thimbles to play the guitar that drove the band to success.

I was glad Black Sabbath animosity declined over time, and to be able to see them back at Donington in 2016. Before that, I included Ozzy in the epic classic Kerang-Kerrang Werewolf of Oz book; part of the biggest sub-plot in the Australian adventure.

However, Ozzy’s affairs were another negative to me, and now I saw this week he’s (or whoever’s controlling the business?) cashing in on his animal head biting by selling a bat with a detachable head.

Batting for Bertie Bat

While ‘influencers’ make fortunes blogging about free products they get, I’m happy to offer an alternative to Ozzy’s bat in Bertie, already sold out at the Dogs Trust charity, but available at the PDSA and Amazon:

Happy Y-Day with Annie Lennox

I hope you’ve had a great Y-day, and it’s helped you cope with Blue Monday, supposedly the most depressing day of the year, in the northern hemisphere. Apparently it was a misty morning again this morning, but I didn’t see it; it had evaporated before I awoke. So I also missed the ‘blood wolf moon’ in the early hours too. I did see the full moon earlier, not knowing about it beforehand. So quite an exciting eventful day for Y-Day, although the weather for most of the day has been ordinary greenYgrey.

Y-Day: Looking Back and Forward

I think I had too much T yesterday, celebrating T20, Y-day eve, so I’m T-teetotal today; a day of Tabstinence from after this paragraph, replacing it with a – dash.
-hankfully, ins-ead of wri-ing more poe-ry -oday for Y-day, midpoint of -he mistYmuse win-er fes-ival four mon-hs I remembered Annie Lennox’s Why song. Moreover, when I wa-ched the video I saw she glamorously POPs (PinkyOrangePurple).

Sorry if i-‘s a li–le sad, apar- from -he wordplay -o -he le–er self-parody comedy, but Y-day is a day of mixed emo-ions, remembering -he mis- mon-hs, while looking forward -o -he muse, and the re-urn of spring… which should be more amusing!

T Dies a Thousand Deaths… for arT

The first T-20 Y-day eve is upon us. It was quite some weather day too, with the mist turning up on the last day of its two-months part of mistYmuse, and then evaporating as the sun strengthened in the afternoon, as it’s supposed to do in Mist Evaporation Week (MEW) before a pinky POP (PinkyOrangePurple) sunset (as written in yesterday’s blog post, although the sun doesn’t really rise and fall as it looks to us, it does rise and set to us; they are all human concepts, along with solstices and equinoxes etc).

I didn’t know how I was going to celebrate it, and then thought of writing a poem containing twenty Ts! It only reached seven! So I wrote another one, which had twenty-two!! So, thinking of marketing, that’s nine bonus Ts, coloured in tawny, making it quite some T20 party… sure is where I wanna be x 3!!!

T29

all was quiet
on Y-day eve morning
thick mist reminded one
of green(y-Y)grey dawning

not if ‘you’re’ travelling, my ‘self-ish’ thoughts unravelling

sun shone through
the sky turned blue
as if remembering Y-rise
a nice surprise

———————————————————

Yesterday it dawned on me
todayiTy fits into philosotea
part of my philosophy
time after coffilosophy
written in prose poetry

trouble with my  psyche is, there’s no words for this

I remember Cyndi Lauper
time after time
but there’s no music
for something so lethargic
sky pinks I remember magic

The song doesn’t have any message for or from me, and was just the music that came into my head as I wrote ‘time after’, mixed with Eminem, who I’ve cited before. Just watched the video, and amazed she does a T at the end. A fitting finale for the T20 party!!

The after-party’s at Amazon! or the Cure’s greenYgrey foresT (next Track!!):

On the 3rd Day, S Sails Away

I hope you enjoyed the wordplay tIme in yesterday’s blog, with its (anagram of MIST’s remaining ist letters yesterday, which was the original idea I had in my head going into the blog) punchline of I maybe being some t-I-me; while remembering Oates’s heroism; developing during the blog posting, in real time, reminiscent of the 202 blog posts that make up XaW Files: Beyond Humanity.

Afterwards, I thought the image of Oates struggling against the snowstorm was like my writing trying to make headway in the ‘snowflake’ culture; reminding me of the Tucker and Dale vs Evil comedy horror movie, where a couple of friendly rednecks are attacked by silly students, reversing the horror stereotype, greenYgrey style.

I was likewise recently reminded of trying to help pseudo-alphas while watching Kangaroo Dundee trying to help Roger the kangaroo on the BBC, whose upper body physique and pose is evidence for Darwinian evolution’s theory that we all share a common ancestry to me:

Sun Doesn’t Rise or Set

If the mistYmuse has made you wonder why we have solstices and equinoxes, and shorter and longer days, then these two videos explain it pretty well.

Sorry if this blog post has been too long. It’s been a bit of a trip down memory lane, back to where the greenYgrey was! I didn’t intend it to be so, but guess the MIST’s S evaporation was always going to be a Special day. Shame it wasn’t a Sunday really, although Saturday is the next best thing.

I exIts, ST STays

On the second day of the MEW (MIST Evaporation Week, please see previous blog posts for details) final countdown, I departs to leave just ST, half way through the final countdown to Y-day on January 21st, marking the midpoint of mistYmuse four months environmental paganism winter festival.

I left heroically, mirroring Oates with Captain Scott, saying: “I am just going outside and may be some tIme.”

I of the storm:

I Found This

I happened upon this mistYmuseish greenYgreyish album cover on YouTube, with a suitable title and music too.

Kate Moss Opens Mist Evaporation Week Final Countdown (not really!)

Parody comedy disclaimer: Kate Moss took no part in this blog post, and hasn’t heard of me as far as I know.
Harry Enfield did a good parody comedy celebrity show recently, set on Richard Branson’s island (I use his Virgin Media creation, and have really requested a space flight or visit to his island as a bonus in the comments of his Linked In posts; where reality and parody meet; but to no avail so far!), and including J.K. Rowling, who of course became G.G. Howling in the greenYgrey world.
I thought Enfield’s parody was more South Park to mine being Simpsons. Vic and Bob’s new series parody is also quite close to the bone. I like it, and just mention it here for those critics of mine who don’t understand parody/satire.

Nice Friendly Educative Pagan Festival (not taking itself too seriously! As Kate Moss doesn’t from the Ab Fab film!!)

With only four days to go until mistYmuse Y-Day on January 21st, marking a month since the Winter Solstice, and half way stage of the mistYmuse, covering November 21st to March 21st, Mist (Most Ideal Sunrise Times) Evaporation Week (MEW) is really hotting up, with the ceremonial departure of the M, as we prepare to move into the muse half of the most winterish four months of the northern hemisphere year, until the spring equinox.

Kate Moss Parody Comedy

Kate Moss was named the Queen of the greenYgrey world, and a couple of days ago I saw a news story on MSN that it was her 45th birthday yesterday; I didn’t know/remember before, trying not to take too much notice of my celebrity heroes/heroines.

Using the height of my music-making talents, I adapted Kiss’s King of the Night Time World, swapping King for Queen, and Night Time for greenYgrey. You’ll have to do the imagining yourself!

When I first saw the photo below in the article, of Kate greenYgreying in the Ab Fab film, which I saw for the first time recently, I thought her arms and head create a W, which I thought was ironic in mistYmuse Y week, although the W was a big letter in the werewolf greenYgrey world!

Then, using a little thinking outside the box, Sherlock-style, which Kate is famous for herself, I realised that a W is an upside-down M, and that’s the letter that’s disappearing today from MIST, one day after Kate’s birthday! So thanks to Kate for kicking off the MEW party in the style she has epitomised during the supermodel era and beyond…

It also reminds me of Folding Mirror poetry!!

Free Kindle Fantasy Fiction Follows mistYmuse MEW News

We are now officially in the MEW (Mist Evaporation Week) of mistYmuse, with January 21st a week away. It really gets exciting in the last four days, as we lose each letter day by day, going from MIST to IST, ST and finally just T on the 20th; kind of like T20 cricket!
For new mistYmusers, MIST stands for Most Ideal Sunrise Times, and covers the month before and after the Northern Hemisphere Winter Solstice around December 21st.

Ideal Sunrise Times

The sunrise appearing at about 8-9am in Blighty is ideal for the regular work start time.
Of course the sunrise is even later farther north, so more ideal for lazybones lie-in lovers… or just natural night owls.
This might provide some compensation for SAD (Seasonally Affected Disorder) sufferers.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Sunrise times are still past 8am, as seen from the bottom of the met office weather forecast on its page from that link or below, but are getting earlier by about a minute a day (8.16 tomorrow to 8.11 on Sunday), while sunsets are getting later by one-two minutes a day (16.16 to 16.24 tomorrow to Sunday). So the three minutes a day mean there is about 90 minutes more light since the midwinter December 21st solstice.

It has been a pretty mild winter in Blighty so far, but there could still be cold weather in the MUSE (Midwinter Until Spring Equinox) half of mistYmuse. However, the additional light and knowing it’s the second half of the toughest four months; third of the year; for sun and heat lovers is inspiring.

To enter into the spirit of mistYmuse, I’ve made my last of the greenYgrey trilogy XaW Files: Beyond Humanity free on Kindle this week:
