Formula 1 and Tennis Team GG Double Double

There was mucho celebrando in the Greenygrey world over the weekend, as Team GG’s Djokovic and Nadal played against each other in the Miami Masters final, while greenygrey Mercedes dominated the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Hi, it’s Martin ‘Werewolfie’ Adams with a satirical comedy sports report hot off the press from the weekend’s top greenygrey sporting action.

It’s probably my best report since the last March 28th one, although some may argue it’s even better; greenygrey style; with that one including rugby union success, a Grand Prix first place, and tennis quarter-finalists; while this one has Grand Prix and tennis final 1-2s for Team GG.

Miami Masters Tennis

Novak Djokovic came out on top in Miami. Team GG analysts wondered whether this was a changing of the guard, but decided in the end that there’s still time for Nadal to bounce back to the top of the Team GG rankings.

Djokovic celebrated his victory in true greenygrey style:

Hamilton – Rosberg Win Malaysian Grand Prix

After Nico Rosberg won the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the season for greenygrey Mercedes in Australia, Team GG went one better in Malaysia, as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg did the double for Mercedes.

Last season’s champion, Sebastian Vettel, got some consolation for Team GG’s big rivals Red Bull by taking the final position on the podium with third place.

Here’s a great greenygrey photo of Hamilton driving to victory:

There was probably a lot more great greenygrey sporting action over the weekend, but the above is all I’m a-were of!

Long Poem Introduces Poetic Reflection Thoughts

Whether you look
left or right
west or east
north or south
there is no complete
truth in the words
of humanity
living in
superficiality.

The future is all pure
clean and untainted.

And if you look
far enough to the past
when humanity
lived with nature
it looks maybe.

But I wasn’t there
so I don’t know
how true that is.

And the only time
in the future
I know will be true
for me
is when I cease
to be.

Those who succeed
are not the ones
who see the iceberg
and it try to dismantle.

They are the ones
who ready themselves
on approaching the iceberg
and go around it.

Hi, it’s William Wolfsworth, poetry correspondent at the Greenygrey inspired by legendary Romantic poet William Wordsworth.

Sorry about the long poetic introduction, but I was inspired by Marc Latham’s See Below Sea poem and its reflection, which it was paired with in his 242 Mirror Poems and Reflections book.

I just noticed the book has come down to a new super low price of £2.83 in the U.K. on Amazon; which is about a penny for each of his thoughts; and lots of other currency equivalents I’m sure.

The above See Below Sea link is for fmpoetry.wordpress.com, and an original version of the poem was also published on EveryDayPoets.

I know you’ve all got busy Saturday things to do, and I include relaxing in that, and think I am in danger of overstaying my welcome, so here’s Reflection 6 of 121:

Although inspired by nature, the iceberg of this poem is a metaphor for the human psyche.

As it is only an iceberg’s tip visible above the surface, most people only have a little of their personality, experiences and thoughts on show in society at any one time.

Tennis, Formula 1 and Rugby Union Satirical Comedy Sports

The motor racing, rugby union and tennis worlds have been lit up in greenygrey in recent weeks, and I’ve been straining at the leash to get a look in at the Greenygrey; to be able to update you.

Hi, it’s Martin ‘Werewolfie’ Adams, with a Greenygrey comedy satire sports report.

Miami Masters Tennis

Tennis has been a great servant to promoting the Greenygrey, with Rafa Nadal possibly the greatest ever Team GG player.

Nadal has been on about 50% greenygrey top form at the Miami Masters Sony Open, with the tournament to match:

Whereas newcomer to Team GG, Novak Djokovic, has been on 100% form:

Ireland Win Six Nations Rugby Union

Ireland won the rugby union Six Nations title in Europe, and wore a greenygrey shirt while winning it. It was their captain Brian O’ Driscoll‘s last season, so it was like a kind of Greenygrey’s Rambles fairytale for him getting the title and man of the match award while wearing a greenygrey shirt in his last international game.

Here’s O’ Driscoll after the game:

Mercedes’s Rosberg Wins Australian Grand Prix

Motor racing has also played a big part in Greenygrey sport, what with the tracks usually very greenygrey, and the Red Bull team partly influencing Team GG.

The new season reached new heights of greenygreyness in the first grand prix, as Nico Rosberg won the Australian Grand Prix in Mercedes’s greenygrey car. This photo captures the new greenYgrey brand in all its glory:

Good luck to all the sportspeople this weekend, and that includes our old inspirations and rivals Red Bull, who have been having a tough time due to Formula 1 rule changes.

New Mirror Poem Train Travels England – Wales

After all the exciting art of the last five days I’m sure you’re ready for some exquisitely poetic words now. So I imported Marc Latham’s latest Folding Mirror poem into the Greenygrey world pronto.

Hi, it’s William Wolfsworth, poetry correspondent at the Greenygrey inspired by legendary Romantic poet William Wordsworth.

Mirror Poem Railway Journey

The poem celebrates some of the great scenery and places from the east coast of Yorkshire to the west coast of Wales: over the Pennines into Lancashire,  then down to Cheshire and Shropshire in western England before crossing into Powys in eastern Wales for more mountain scenery.

The travel creation myth of the Greenygrey says that it was born along that line, with lots of greenery still on the ground, and cloudy skies often above.

Mirror Poem Travels Two Mountain Ranges Railways

Marc Latham’s latest Folding Mirror poem was inspired by train journeys on the trans-Pennine and traws-Cambrian railway lines.

Pennines and Cambrian Mountains

They traverse a couple of mountain ranges either side of the English-Welsh border, which is historically marked by Offa’s Dyke in the lowland Marches.

The railway journey links the east and west coasts of Britain, so is quite monumental, and should make a relevant mirror poem. Here it is:

Human, Wolf, Animal and Nature Art from Google+

We’ve had greenygrey human, wolves, animals and natural environment focused XaW Files, so what could be the fifth and last XaW File. Well, super fittingly for the former Andy Wolfhol, it’s art focusing on the previous four categories.

Search for Andy Warhol of GG World

Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman, head honcho of Greenygrey Creation in the absence of Andy Wolfhol; our inspirations in the human world are Baron Wolman and Andy Warhol.

Having analysed my files, the Greenygrey has decided that the far east of Russia is the best place to start the search for ol’ Wolfhol, with strong signals received from that location in the Googlesphere.

So, having started its epic journey in the human world on the west coast of North America, the Greenygrey will be journeying close to that location, only a little north across the Pacific Ocean; over the Gulf of Alaska and Bering Strait from its original awakening, but below the Chukchi Sea (C3?).

Nature Photos and Images from Google+

As yesterday’s XaW Files had mostly animals and birds, and some natural environment, today’s fourth batch of five files focuses on the Natural Environment. This of course provides bird and animal life a home.

There are  some animals and birds in the photos; or just birds and butterfly to be exact; although one mountain looks like an elephant, as the Greenygrey often looks like a wolf.

Nature Photos and Images

Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman. Today’s XaW Files contain lots of nature photos from the Googlesphere with one thing in common; well, there may be more than one, but I’ve only looked for one; and that’s that they are all greenygrey.

The captions contain the names of those who posted them on Google+.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the fifth and final batch of the XaW Files.

274 Mirror Poems and Related Poetry

WordPress kindly wished the blog a happy 5th anniversary recently, so I thought it’d be a good time to count and register the poems on fmpoetry.

I was delighted to see there are now 274 mirror poems and related poetry on this website, as listed in the blog post Poems and Poetry on this Site.

There are now two collections of poetry books containing most of Marc Latham’s poems from this site at: Smashwords and Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/author/marclatham).

Animal and Bird Images from Google+

It’s not only wolves that make great greenygrey images of course; lots of animals do. Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman with the middle section of the XaW Files, with lots of amazing animals in glorious greenygrey images. These are the third of five files.

Admittedly, a lot of the images mix nature with the animals to create the greenygreyness. I’m not Stephen Wolfing (Hawking to humans), and this isn’t rocket science folks: it’s just the fair ship Greenygrey sailing a sea of coffee!

Animal and Bird Images

Whatever could be left after humans, wolves and animals…
well, you’ll just have to wait and see…
but it won’t be for long, as I’ll be back in one hour and 23…

Where there’s a wolf there’s a way, and when AWOL A. Wolfhol is away there’s a were somewhere out there.

Start of Greenygrey’s Rambles 3?

Hi, it’s Baron Wolfman with the second batch of files sent into the Greenygrey world by my former head honcho at Greenygrey creation, Andy Wolfhol.

As his last shadow image postcard last weekend called himself the former aW I have decided to call these images the XaW Files.

Wolf Images from Google+

Yesterday we started off the files with the humans, because we’re weres, and already very big in the wolf world, and want to break the human market as successfully.

So, here are the greenygrey wolf images sent from aW, with the real people who posted them on Google+ cited in the captions below, when available.
